God is in Control

Welcome!

I am glad you are here  :)

The war has landed on our doorstep.

It is a new world and it will not stop.

Be prepared.  Know Jesus.

Be vigilant.

You will never be led astray if you read the bible.

When my world is rocked,
I look to the Lord for comfort.
He has never let me down.

I live approximately 20 minutes from the San Bernardino shooting.

Yesterday, I was less than a block from home.  I had my window half way down and waiting at a red light.  A white man of about 50 years old was standing at the corner; he was within 10 feet of me.  He began to yell at me, he said “I know you and you are a liar!”  I have never seen this man before.  Needless to say, it shook me up and I could not get into my front door fast enough.

This morning when I left for church, I saw three San Bernardino police vehicles, behind me and in front of me within two minutes of leaving my home.
I am so thankful for this, yet am reminded;
the war has landed on our doorstep.

At church, the San Bernardino police made their presence known.

It is a new world.

From dictionary.com, the definition of Islam:

The religious faith of Muslims, based on the words and religious system founded by the prophet Muhammad and taught by the Koran, the basic principle of which Is absolute submission to a unique and personal god, Allah.

And as we have witnessed, if you do not submit, you die.

Christian’s must share the love of Jesus with the Muslims.

We must be persistent in sharing the good news with our friends and family.

Be vigilant.  Love one another.  Pray.

Thank you for stopping by, it is good to see you my friend.

Amazing Grace ~ Unmerited Favor

Welcome!

I am glad you are here  :)

Abba Father,

Thank you for each and every day You have
blessed us here on earth.

Thank you for Your tender mercies.

Thank you for giving us friends and family
to share joys and sorrows with.

I ask You to bless my friends, relatives, brothers and sisters
in Christ and those I care deeply for,
who are reading this now.

Where there is joy, give them continued joy,

Where there is pain or sorrow,
give them Your peace and mercy.

Where there is self-doubt,
release a renewed confidence.

Where there is need,
fulfill their needs.

Bless their homes, families, finances,
their goings and their comings.

In Jesus' name,

Amen

I will not be silent

Welcome!

I am glad you are here  :)

Hello friends,
I am so glad you stopped by today!

You know, I battle every day with this sinful nature that I was born with.

Before I even get out of bed, I need to pray for forgiveness.
These thoughts that come at me,  "sigh...  I don't want to go to work today.."  (The Holy Spirit reminds me to be thankful),

"I hated the way the boss spoke to me yesterday...."  (The Holy Spirit reminds me to forgive),

"I am so lonely,
Abba Father, please help me.."   (The Holy Spirit reminds me, God's will be done, be content).

I rub my eyes and gaze out the window to see the awesome morning that God gave me
and I have this thought;
"The traffic noise is so loud I can't hear myself think..."  (The Holy Spirit reminds me to be thankful I have a roof over my head and food on my table, these things, God has blessed me with).

The devil continually reminds me of all my mistakes I ever did.
I remind him that Jesus has cleansed me with His blood and has
forgiven me because I repented.

Jesus has taken many burdens off my shoulders, He has cleansed me and is constantly working in me.  Disciplining, teaching, loving, molding me to be someone He can use.
He has had to work very hard in me,
for I am the least of the least,
a sinner.

I had to come to that place where no man could help me, nothing on earth could heal me.
Humbly,
on my knees,
uncontrollable tears,
begging for God's mercy,
"Please God, I can not do this any more, take me home!"

He overwhelms me with His peace and love,
He comforts me and I close my eyes and sleep.
I awake in the morning with the same issues but with an awesome
presence that I am not alone.

I take one step at a time and with every step, I am talking with Jesus,
"Please don't leave me Lord, I can not do this without you!"
and another step,
"Lord, please, make my mouth not be able to say anything unless it is your word."
and another...
"Abba Father, I am afraid!"

I am comforted by His word,

"You are my servant,
I  have chosen you and have not cast you away;
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed,
for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:9-10

"Be strong and of good courage,
do not fear or be afraid of them,
for the Lord your God,
He is the One who goes with you.
He will not leave you or forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:6

"Now, it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you,
the blessing and the curse which I have set before you,
and you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God drives you,
and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice,
according to all that I command you today,
you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,
that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have
compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the
Lord your God has scattered you.  If any of you are driven out to the
farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you,
and from there He will bring you.
Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed,
and you shall possess it.  He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers,
And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your
descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
that you may live.
Deuteronomy 30:1-6

What if..
What if I am the only one that God sets before you,
to witness to you,
I pray that God will open your heart and your ears to hear
what He has to say to you,
right now,

God loves you,
He sent His only son to die for our sins.
Jesus is the only way.

What if...
What if today is the day that the Lord comes,
are you ready?

What if today is your last day on earth,
the last breath you take,
will Jesus say to you,
"I did not know you."

Eternity,

this is forever.....

Heaven or Hell.
Your choice.
Oh, I pray you choose Jesus!

Heaven
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain,
for the former things have passed away."
Then He who sat on the throne said,
"Behold, I make all things new."
And He said to me,
"Write, for these words are true and faithful."
And He said to me,
"It is done!"
"I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the Beginning and the End."
Revelation 21:4-6

Hell
"And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever;
and they have no rest day or night.."
Revelation 14:11

Grace to you and Peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ

Welcome!

I am glad you are here :)

One thing I have asked from the Lord,
That I will look for;
That I may live in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To look upon the beauty of the Lord,
And to worship is His holy house.
Psalm 27:4

Do you know what you claim to believe?

Below is a video from Pastor Jack Hibbs

"You cannot claim to believe in that which you cannot defend or define."

"When the Holy Spirit lifts a verse up off of the bible
and embeds it upon your heart, it will change your life!"

"I do what I do for the glory of God,
not to be saved because I am already saved
no matter what I do."

"just listen...."

Inspire

Welcome!

I am glad you are here  :)

Remember...
God chose you

What is your story?

Are you right with God?

We have a race to run...
don't get distracted

"Jesus Christ came not to condemn you but to save you, knowing your name, knowing all about you, knowing your weight right now, knowing your age, knowing what you do, knowing where you live, knowing what you ate for supper and what you will eat for breakfast, where you will sleep tonight, how much your clothing cost, who your parents were.  He knows you individually as though there were not another person in the entire world.  He died for you as certainly as if you had been the only lost one.  He knows the worst about you and is the One who loves you the most.

If you are out of the fold and away from God, put your name in the words of John 3:16 and say, "Lord, it is I.  I am the cause and reason why thou didst on earth come to die," That kind of positive, personal faith and personal redeemer is what saves you.  If you will just rush in there, you do not have to know all the theology and all the right words.  You can say, "I am the one He came to die for."  Write it down in your heart and say, "Jesus, this is me," as though there were no others.  Have that kind of personalized belief in a personal Lord and Savior."

A.W. Tozer, And He Dwelt Among Us; Teachings from the Gospel of John

"I regard myself as the most wretched of all men, stinking and covered with sores, and as one who has committed all sorts of crimes against his King.  Overcome by remorse, I confess all my wickedness to Him, ask His pardon and abandon myself entirely to Him to do with as He will.  But this King, filled with goodness and mercy, far from chastising me, lovingly embraces me, makes me eat at His table, serves me with His own hands, gives me the keys of His treasures and treats me as His favorite.  He talks with me and is delighted with me in a thousand and one ways; He forgives me and relieves me of my principle bad habits without talking about them; I beg Him to make me according to His heart and always the more weak and despicable I see myself to be, the more beloved I am of God."

Brother Lawrence, The Practice of the Presence of God

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear,

but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out,
"Abba, Father."

His word shall stand forever

Welcome!

I am glad you are here  :)

Psalm 81

Sing aloud to God our strength;
Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob.
Raise a song and strike the timbrel,
The pleasant harp with the lute.

Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon,
At the full moon, on our solemn feast day.
For this is a statute for Israel,
A law of the God of Jacob.
This He established in Joseph as a testimony,
When He went throughout the land of Egypt,
Where heard a language I did not understand.

"I removed his shoulder from the burden;
His hands were freed from the baskets.
You called in trouble, and I delivered you;
I answered you in the secret place of thunder;
I tested you at the waters of Meribah."
Selah

"Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you!
O Israel, if you will listen to Me!
There shall be no foreign god among you.
Nor shall you worship any foreign god.
I am the Lord your God,
Who brought you out of the land of Egypt;
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it."

"But My people would not heed My voice,
And Israel would have none of Me.
So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart,
To walk in their own councils.

"Oh, that My people would listen to Me,
That Israel would walk in My ways!
I would soon subdue their enemies,
And turn My hand against their adversaries.
The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him,
But their fate would endure forever.
He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat;
And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you."
